What’s in the yellow paper bag?
Went out to Sun Cellular’s Robinsons Pacific branch last Monday to get me this phone package as per daughter’s prodding. She’s been under contract for two years already and it seems she’s enjoying the “perks” as to extend anew her contract. What is it in Sun?
Anyhow, since the contract is under my name, I went to their office to sign the papers and soon afterwards, they gave me this Samsung Galaxy Y (free @ Plan 350), a Smartphone running on Android. Retail price for this is around 5 thousand pesos (around $135) as shown on local tv ads recently.
What’s in the package?
-the phone which is a full touchscreen
-basic charger (of course)
-2GB memory card
-USB connector
-a CD installer

The home screen, which, by the way, is easy to toggle. Can’t say much, because, forgive my techie naivete, couldn’t composed a decent SMS using a touchscreen^_^ . Call me ancient:)

Trying out a vid on Youtube watching segments of Pillars of the Earth…screen size of this Samsung unit is 3″ LCD.
Considering its price and running on Android technology, I think it’s worth it. Flipping through websites in this small unit using zoom function is well, impressive. There’s a hell more in this Smartphone…I guess, it is for the daughter to discover when she gets home from the university this holiday season.
For more info about the unit and its technical specs check out Samsung Galaxy Y.

That’s a cute phone. Gusto ko rin nyan.
Have a fabulous week.
